These are some of the faithful servants that help make what we call T.G.I.S. happen each week:

Jason Waller
(T.G.I.S. Coordinator)

I’ve been going to St. Dunstan’s since shortly after my family moved to San Diego at the end of 1998. At first I wasn’t too interested or involved, but then I got dragged to a youth retreat called New Beginnings which made me really want to seek after God and find my own faith. I gradually became more involved in the youth group, and on our weeklong trip to San Francisco I really decided to have faith in God and committed to being a Christian myself – not just a guy in a Christian family who got dragged to church every Sunday.

I started helping with T.G.I.S. from the very beginning in 2002, when Amy Weaver came into the youth group to get us involved. As time went on, I took on more and more responsibilities in T.G.I.S. and somehow ended up being what can only be described as the “Coordinator” for T.G.I.S. Also, a few years ago (I think it was 2003), I tried to take up playing guitar but ended up teaching myself how to play piano instead. So, after about a year – and to the amazement of all – I went from being completely musically inept to playing the piano at T.G.I.S. Even when I started to attend UC Irvine (from which I graduated in the Spring of 2007 with a degree in Math), I couldn’t tear myself away from T.G.I.S. and St. Dunstan’s, so I've been coming back to San Diego every weekend. I am currently in the teaching credential program at SDSU and plan to teach high school math for a few years, then hopefully pursue a call to ordination that I’ve felt for some time.

Fr. David Montzingo
(Priest/Celebrant)

Fr. David Montzingo came to St. Dunstan's on March 1, 2005, as our Associate Rector. Fr. David has been in the San Diego area since 1987. Prior to joining the St. Dunstan's family, Fr. David completed 14 years with St. Luke's in Normal Heights. One of the highlights has been the opportunity to work with 150 refugees from the Sudan. This includes 25 of the "Lost Boys" you may have heard of, who literally walked out of a war zone as young boys before finding refuge.

Fr. David enjoys working with our adult education program as well as the youth programs. He has a special interest in college and young adult groups.

In addition, Fr. David is a sports enthusiast, having grown up in a family of six boys who were always actively involved in sports. He has four brothers who are either high school PE teachers or coaches! He also has a brother who is in the clergy.

Amy Weaver
(T.G.I.S.’s Founder, and still a leader of T.G.I.S.)

I am 23, and I am currently a college student as well as working full time at Associated Professional Services in their accounts receivable department, and spending what little free time I have working at church or hanging out with my family/friends (mostly one-in-the-same). I am what most would call a “cradle Christian” meaning I was born into the church, in fact I was born into St. Dunstan’s (my mom attended from the time the congregation arrived at the new campus). I am pursuing a career in teaching (hopefully high school English). I have always loved helping others and working with the youth. I help out our youth minister, Brian, as well as staff and help run the youth renewal weekends. I am also the Chair of the San Diego Vocare movement, which is a young adult renewal ministry. On top of all that, I help run TGIS from being on Core Team (the “Vestry” of TGIS, if you will), giving the message and being the MC. I also am involved in LUX (Living Under Christ) our young adult bible study group. To top it all off, in my free time I love watching movies with my boyfriend, reading, playing games with my family or scrap booking with my mom and sister.
