T.G.I.S. is the third weekly worship service of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church. We are a community of Christians committed to worshipping our Heavenly
Father, living in the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and
being guided by the Holy Spirit. It is our goal to provide a worship
service that is more suited to young adults and everyone else
who enjoys a more contemporary style of worship. However, unlike many
popular contemporary services, we decided from the beginning that
T.G.I.S would include some of the rich traditions of worship in
Anglican
churches - most notably taking Communion every Sunday and including
times for community prayer. People who go to T.G.I.S. range from small children (childcare is available) to those who are older physically than they are at heart, and young adults are a large part of the leadership of T.G.I.S.
History
T.G.I.S. was started in 2002 by a group of St. Dunstan's youth wanting to create a service that spoke more to them. It began as a monthly service and after about three years became St. Dunstan's third weekly worship service.
