This Small Study Group began in 2008 following a church course that was based on the book, The Creative Call by Janice Elsheimer. This Biblically-based book is designed to help reawaken the creative artist within and show how to use art as a pathway to a closer walk with Christ. Creative expression of "art" can take many forms, so our group consists of knitters, quilters, scrapbookers, jewelry makers, photographers, writers, musicians, and painters, to name just a few. We study, pray, share our work, and encourage each other both in our creative endeavors and Christian walk.
Sometimes, we have joint projects that are sold at the annual Christmas Boutique and the Mardi Gras French Market. Occasionally we go on a field trip to an art museum or other point of interest. We meet in the library from 10:00 a.m. till noon on the 2nd Saturday of each month. New members are always welcome. Contact the church office for more information.
