Have questions about life? About Christianity? Explore the meaning of life and get answers to your questions at the basic Alpha Course.
This spring, you have two opportunities to attend Alpha Courses at St. Dunstan's:
Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. The Sunday session of the Alpha Course begins March 14 at 6:00 pm.
Register here for the Sunday session.
Monday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The Monday session of the Alpha Course started on March 1, and it's not too late to join in.
Register here for the Monday session.
Each session consists of announcements, the "joke de jour," a talk, and some time to discuss the talk in a small group setting. The Sunday evening session includes a light supper.
The Alpha Course is presented over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions with a day or weekend away. The setting is relaxed, open, and non-threatening. Child care will be provided.
Over 13 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha Course. Alpha runs in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations, at universities, in prisons, and on military bases across the world.
Who is Alpha For?
People attend from many different backgrounds, religions and
viewpoints. They attend for a variety of reasons. Some want to
investigate whether God exists and if there is any point to life;
others are concerned about what happens after death. Still others may
have attended church all their life, but feel they never really
understood the essentials of the Christian faith. Alpha is the course
for everyone who thinks there may be more to life than meets the eye.
